CLE,

I also own a Shanling CD-T80. Ik like the musical quality, but the build quality of the tray is indeed subpar
after just free days it stopped functioning because a rubber had snapped. I replaced it and than it wouldn't close again, I replaced it again with a thinner one and now it works fine, although music always skips a beat during the first minute of play in the first song of a CD. During operation it is however not noisy.
