Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Re: Doesn't Soundstage??

well, what can I say? It might have a little soundstage. But IMHO, it was still flat/lifeless digital. Sure, I was stoked about it when I got it, but it has nothing on today's CDP's. It only came alive for me with the Art Di/o ~ and that was using the digital out.

I have the same system then as now. I can A~B it all day if I want (because I still have the JVC), but as soon as I started shopping for a new CDP, the Rega and the cheep Creek blew it away. Blew it away as in the first night i stayed up till 5am listening to tracks. I FINALY had digital that was starting to sound like my LP's use to. For me, it certainly didn't approach any of the lofty detail you credit it with. But it was a nice step forward from whatever player it replaced at the time.

Given your confidence in the unit, I guess I'll hold out for some decent $$ for it. I was just going to give it away.
