You certainly are right

Vinyl is not the answer long term. If it was as good as it could be, I would be more than satisfied with it for the rest of my years.
Vinyl quality is as bad as it ever was. The only difference is that now they are not using regrind like they did in the '70's after the oil embargo of '73. I'm tired of spending a lot on very warped vinyl.
I only have maybe 25 years of good listening left and will not be able to replace all of my cd's with something like Blue-Ray, if that even happens.
Downloading looks like the "final solution", however.
I'll stick with playing my vinyl and cd's. I do not like most new music anyway.
