It was luckily the same size as the player top, give or take a few mm. It is also about 15mm thick so its quite heavy. Underneath it I placed some none-slip 3M matting, the woven looking stuff that you might use on a car dash... and that damped things right down.
I now also have the player on oak feet. I have 2 on the left side, 1 under each transformer and a third down the other end.
I must say that my none 'evo' has great tone. I thought about the upgrade but worry that it may change things, at the moment it just sounds great and well balanced. I use Dali Helicons with the super tweeter and not a nasty sound so far...
Just experiment with things...
