I am currently using a Shigaraki transport with a MHdt Laboratory Paradisea DAC and I am liking the results. The Paradisea, like the Altman, is a NOS DAC so they are similar in that aspect. As to whether the Shigaraki and Altman will play well together I don't know. The Shigaraki does have an idiosyncratic nature (exposed disc, initializing each disc) but I think it's a great design and really like mine. As a result I've retired an older CDP and am selling the one the Shigaraki replaced.
