DAC unlocks when CD drawer opens--why?

I have an Aragon D2A2 DAC--oldie but goodie. The signal is coming into the DAC from the digital output of a Cambridge Audio 640 CD player, through a Canare 75-ohm cable. The DAC stays locked on the digital signal except when I open and shut the CD drawer. When I open the drawer, the DAC "unlocks" -- it loses the digital signal. When I close the drawer, the DAC clicks a few times and the "Lock" LED flickers, and then it locks onto the signal. I tried another CD player as a transport -- a friend's new Marantz CD5001. Something similar happened when the drawer was opened, but the DAC locked onto the Marantz signal a bit faster. Then I pulled an old Marantz CD-48 out of a bedroom system -- the DAC stays constantly locked on the signal from this old CD player even when I open and close the CD drawer. Can anyone explain? Does anyone know how to make the DAC stay constantly locked on the signal from the Cambridge Audio 640, even when the drawer is opened? Thanks.
