My priorities:1. Outstanding redbook -- this precedes any universal SACD/DVDA capabilities -- will consider a redbook only player if outstanding in performance.
2. Potentially universal capabilities -- but I only own just a few SACD/DVDA discs
3. Must be able to be balanced & compatible with my equipment (see profile)
4. Tubes or SS -- not particular
5. Excellent manufacturer with excellent customer service.The only manufacturer no longer in consideration is: Ayre Acoustics. I want to move away from something different.
