Well, the techno-talk is mostly over my head. I have read that many SACD players do not play redbook CDs as well as regular redbook CD players. True? If so, sounds like you'd have to have redbook, SACD, and HDCD players to get the most out of all formats. I doubt many people go to the expense. So is there one particular compromise setup that is common to most serious listeners, or just a matter of individual preference with no consensus on the best setup?
