HowdyYou are putting words in my mouth. I've stated over and over that tho I'm not a fan of ASRC in principle, I have and know of DACs that use it that sound fine.
There are more than one source (including Lavry) that talk about the components actually used. Go look at the data sheets. It's not speculation. As with all technologies there trade offs one to another and in addition there are good and bad implementations.
