It almost looks like the root of our disagreement is over the "soundness" of ASRC for audio playback. You think the it's a true advancement. I think it's a technological fraud.I tried explaining why it's a technological fraud. The only other thing I will say is I cannot stand how it sounds.
By the way, the Lavry accusations are mostly speculation. The nuts and bolts of what's going on are not established, and I generally just avoid such feuds, unless I see something factually wrong or something factually true claimed to be wrong. But hardly anything there is factual, just merely speculative. (It's hard to figure out speculation, because it's hardly ever concept put into writing.) I presume Dan will explain the story, and I'm 99 percent certain his DAC in normal playback does *not* use ASRC. (This is something that I'm certain would pass a DBT, if it comes down to that.)
