Onkyo dx-7555 vs. Rega Apollo

Anyone hear this Onkyo redbook cd player?? reviews on the net are few and far between.

Have been thinking about upgrading my cd player to the apollo, but the onkyo sounds interesting and is quite a bit cheaper. Its features include the same Wolfson d/a converter, low jitter clocking w/ adjustable high frequency roll-off settings and a 17lb chassis. The attribute of the REGA that is most attractive to me is the detailed yet analog type sound reproduction many speak of.

My system:
NAD C352 int amp & NAD c521bee cd player
Triangle Comete Speakers

My phono system includes a technics 1200 turntable with upgraded wiring & interconects w/ an ortofon concorde 0M40 ($320) cartridge.

I just upgraded my phono pre from a NAD PP-2 to a Dynavector P-75. The difference was incredible - much faster, better PRAT, soundstage, detail and low end resolution.

Because of this huge improvement with my analog system, I believe my NAD C352 can do justice to a better cd player.

I may be able to demo the Apollo here but not the Onkyo, so I am interested in some opinions.
Any thoughts ??? and many thanks for your time...
