help with X779ES

Hi,
My X779ES player is having problems playing a full disc. it will play a few of the tracks and then stop, the display shows 0 as if there isn't a disc in the transport. the player will read the TOC after the drawer is oipened and then cosed, but it usually stops after playing a few more tracks. i have cleaned the laser lens and lubed the rails but that doesn't help the problem.
I would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me what might be the problem and if it can be fixed as I love this player very much and don't want to lose it yet.
