Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

First impression of a Citypulse DA7.2X Dac

This is a 24/192 KHz up-sampling dac which has been modded for a better clock. I have had it for a month now but only started listening to it couple days ago. Even from the beginning its sound was outstanding with a very open sound stage, extended low & high frequencies, and a smooth and expressive mid range. Initial comparison with my modified Audio Alchemy dac proved its superiority with slight more refined mid range and airy treble. I was impressed and I looked forward to its further sonic improvements after burn-in.
