Re: TASCAM DV RA 1000 V.S Studer A730/D730 V.S EMT986 V.S Denon DN 951FA V.S Sony CDP 3100 in terms of sound quality?

My only experience with the above machines is recording a session on DSD encoded dvd's via the Tascam. The session sounded great (a little more "air" than the safety recorded at 24/96 on a Alexis Masterlink 9600 using Apogee outboard converters), but the dvd's suffered from read errors when we went to play them back so we couldn't use the DSD version. I'm told this is a common problem with the Tascam; perhaps they have fixed it by now.
