Re: I've got a good CDP... should I audition a Rega?

I have the Cary 308T and it would surprise me if the Rega were any better. If you've searched the archives, you know that many here consider the 308T the real sleeper in an extensive lineup of Cary CDP's. I haven't heard the Rega, but my expectation is that you would simply be making a lateral move, i.e. not better or worse, just different. Now if you really want an improvement, save your pennies and trade the 308T toward a Cary 306 SACD.
