That prize would go to Mike Silverton. His review of the then popular XLO Type 5 was boring. How many reviewers can you name that will breakdown a particular frequency into multiple parts and describe them as Cordesman does?
When I first started reading S'phile and TAS, I had never seen any of the equipment that were considered tops. I eventually came to trust Cordesman, Robert Harley, Dick Olsher and JA.
