My computer sound has gone all "gargly"

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

It's a Dell and the damned sound card is built in to the mother board. Is it more likely the card or whatever little amp they're driven with? Drivers look fine.
