Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I've got a good CDP... should I audition a Rega?

I've got a good, but a bit older CDP. I think its a very good one -- the Cary 308-T -- and a lot of other folks seem to think so too.

I'm the restless sort and like to test new things. Can anyone speak to the Rega Apollo (or Saturn) as opposed to a Cary 308-T? Should I be intrigued or do I have a superior CDP already??

My usual way of "testing" new equipment is to buy a used one on A'gon and then sell it again if I'm not impressed enough. This works well and usual only costs me $50 or less for a couple month test. In a few rare instances I've actually made a little money.

But it can be a hassle, so if someone's already been down this road I'd like to hear about their experience.

Thanks
