Re: High End CD players that don't need pre-amp

Hello, You might want to look at Accuphase cdp. I have one and used it for a while w/o preamp (it has a wonderful output control in the d/a section, similar but not exactly like Wadia's. Probably even better). But later I still bought a preamp. If You care to investigate, take a look in the VINTAGE asylums ection and type Accuphase. You will find a message from George Mann there with a link to a Japanese site with an interview with one of the Accuphase chiefheads who explains it pure and simple as carrot Why a preamplifier is a must to obtain fullbodied sound.
