I had the Bryston DAC built in to the Bryston B-100 SST integrated amp. I find the Benchmark (revision I or later) to be somehow richer, and more extended at both extremes of the frequency scale. However, the B-100 is not the BP-26 or the 3B-SST. Not familiar with the Apogee.
