I've had my SNUSBTD (latest "UFO" version with 4xac power supply) for about a month now. The tube that initially came with the unit was causing a significant amount of distortion in the right channel (thank goodnes, I thought I had a faulty unit). I replaced it with a NOS Tesla 6922 gold pin from tubedepot.com. The presentation is definitely a bit more "cleaned-up" and tighter sounding. Bass may be a tad more authoritative. Much more smooth and extended information coming through in the higher frequencies. Somewhat less " tubey" than the original tube, and this is the only thing about the original tube that I liked better. For the brave, I highly receommend popping off the lid and clipping a lead to each of the retina searing blue LEDs. The sound coming from the unit loses an influence of noise resulting in a much more pleasant, smoother presentation. Overall I'm terribly pleased with this unit and it's my favorite (and cheapest) digital front end to date.
