I have been using my Cary 308T with the volume at maximum. Prior to that, it was set at -6 (58 , max is 64). It seems that it thins out at the higher setting while at 58 it had less detail but also seemed to have a fuller, smoother sound.Keep in mind the actual listening volume is adjusted by my pre-amp or integrated.
So, I'm just curious of those that own or used to own this player - what level did you set the CD player at while using the pre-amp or integrated's volume for actual level adjustments?
