There are two on Audiogon now that look like they would meet your needs. A Theta and a Cambridge Audio. Sometimes you can find California Audio transports used that would also be in your budget. The company has been out of business so you have some risk there, but they were great products in their time and still stack up quite well today. Also, I have seen others recommend lower end Sony or Pioneer players for their transports. You have a lot of options.Don't forget to factor in a digital cable. That is an impotant piece as well.
