Upgrading Digital Front End Suggestions???

I currently have a Music Hal CD-25 as transport with a Musical Fidelity A3-24 DAc. Not really satisfied with the sound. Looking to upgrade to amore natural and analog sounding CDP -- one or two box okay. I can spend up to $5,000 on a new unit. Will sell old unit on Audiogon or use it in second system. Looking for some suggestions from the digirati here. Some thoughts I have are the Lector 7t or the Bluenote Stibbert Tube. Have listened to the Lector and it sounds good, but hard to get. Bluenote I have not heard. Any other suggestions welcomed.
