looking for a small CDP or CDR to match a Scott tube system

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I'm trying to get idea for a small (less then 15" across the front) CDP or CDR to add to a Scott 233 Tube based system I am putting together. I would buy used and have a $300.00 MAX (I only paid $250.00 for the amp!)
I have seen the Tascam units and really like them but I'm told they tend to sell for more then my budget would allow.
SO guys what smaller (yet mid level quality) CDP or CDR's do you know about?
