The DIP doesn't effect DACs with properly designed inputs and most all new DACs have had those problems sorted out. In the early days of digital, you could get better performance from DACs by using better quality transports and or a DIP (jitter reducing buffer device) between the transport and DAC. Now the situation has evolved to where most any transport will work very well with any decent quality, modern DAC. If you are using an older DAC, then you have to deal with it's clocking problems and the resulting jitter. The best solution is to replace the old DAC and transport. The most cost effective way to do that is by buying a new, high performance CD player. Most audiophile CD players these days have amazingly low jitter levels when compared to older pieces.
