My TRL 900 was damaged during shipping so I ended up exchanging it for the battery powered TRL preamp. I have a TRL modified Audio Mirror DAC that is quite good and the M24 stacks up quite well against it. In fact I prefer it to the TRL modified DAC in some ways. The output stage is well designed and with Siemens NOS tubes the sound is more musical IMO.
