for a Bel Canto DAC2. I know several of you get great results by using a DVD player, but this is not an option for me because this system is audio only (TV/video purposefully and expressly banished) and connection to a TV/monitor is required in order to access program play, random play, and "features" other than simple playback in all DVD machines I have seen (not to mention that most of the commonly available DVD players I have seen are cheap, plasticky, tinny, and crappily built overall, which seems markedly out of place in the context of a nice audio system). I would appreciate any feedback on this matter that any inmate can provide, and thanks in advance for taking the time to respond. I am considering Cambridge 540C, Marantz CD-5001, NAD C-542, Music Hall 25.2, Onix CD (can't remember the model, but similar to the Music Hall machine), and perhaps one of the Denon or Marantz "professional" models (though I don't need pitch control or other "DJ" features).Best Regards and Happy New Year to ALL!
