As it happens I have recently had both in my shop at the same time. The Cary has a tighter bottom end, and appears to be more solidly built. However the Audio Aero has much better mids and highs and is built around (IMHO) superior technology. I like the STARS.
Both are very detailed revealing players though.
My best advice is to listen carefully to both and decide on your own.
