I'm considering replacing my modded Sony SACD-CE775 / Entech 205.2 combo and cheapo Toshiba DVD player with a universal player. I'm torn between a used Denon 2900 and a new Oppo 970.Remainder of the system is tube amps, Klipsch Cornwalls, and SS McIntosh preamp, so a bright component shouldn't be a problem.
Granted, the Denon has a nice upgrade path, but the Oppo sure looks good for the price. So throw in your two cents and help a guy spend some money.
