Beppe:Go to the RAM website (www.referenceaudiomods.com), and it should detail exactly what is done to the player. In my case, it was a pretty comprehensive overhaul.
Yes, the low end is pretty dramatically improved. I too found the bass a little lightweight and lean in the stock unit, but with the mods it's no longer a problem. In fact, it's now rich, full, and very fast.
