Hi Everyone,My case is little bit different with a Denon 2900. I have gradually tried to mod myself by replacing with my collective high grade capacitors like Black Gates, Rubycons, Elna Cerafines, Illinois... to the stock capacitors of the PSU of the unit. Guess what every details, musical notes and 3D soundstage have been thrown out of my vintage speakers (custom built). I am amazed after doing it the whole weekends. I can be assure that my modded Denon 2900 will beat my friend's Sony 9000ES modded by RAM (Superclock 3 and PS for $600.00 and replaced the WBT Nexgen for digital output). Here I am not meaning RAM does not do a good job (actually I was also amazed the sound of the modded transport in Sony 9000) but what I am trying to say that if you want "the sound" you like you should pay with a high price.
