It's not possible for Wadia or the Wadia engineers or techs to mod the 850 and make an 860 out of it?Not to mention that in order to complete the ecvaluation, you might consider having your friend bring over his / her 860 to see if your findings are still valid. What is ying on your system may be yang on his / hers, or vise versa.
p.s. Did you write analogue Mikey? I thought you lived in the San Fran Bay area, not Monte Carlo Bay.
