As I type this I am listening to a CD on my Oppo 981 and I have to say it impresses me! It also impressed me with my 2 Chesky DADs.
No lie, it sounds better then my Stereophile class A rated 3k CD player and my tube modified CD player.
That said, there is a green push issue on the HDMI signal that will not let me enjoy video replay from this unit. I am on my 2nd 981 and both have the problem.
I may keep it anyway just for music replay.
Now where are my two SACDs…..
