CEC/Parasound transport can't read homemade Cds

I recently bought a Parasound C/BD-2000 transport which is supposed to be near the same as a CEC TL5100.

This transport as old CEC transports doesn't read most cds made at home. Why ?

I heard that this is a common problem with these transports.
