Well I've just sold my Copland 289 on eBay after owning for nearly 6 years and I hope I do not regret it. I am looking for a replacement but something more forward, highly detailed and very fast sounding (but not small sounding). The Copland sounded big and wide.I already use all tube gear (diy built) with Billie 300B monoblock power amps so warmth I do not need. The tubes already add that.
I guess I have 700 GBP (1400 USD) to spend for a 2nd hand unit to find something on par with the calibre of the Copland I just sold.
Krell ? Wadia ?
I also thought about a Musical Fidelity A5 but MF tend on the warmer side.
