Well I've just sold my Copland 289 on eBay after owning for nearly 6 years and I hope I do not regret it. I am looking for a replacement but something more forward, highly detailed and very fast sounding (but not small sounding). The Copland sounded big and wide.
I already use all tube gear (diy built) with Billie 300B monoblock power amps so warmth I do not need. The tubes already add that.
I guess I have 700 GBP (1400 USD) to spend for a 2nd hand unit to find something on par with the calibre of the Copland I just sold.
Krell ? Wadia ?
I also thought about a Musical Fidelity A5 but MF tend on the warmer side.
