Question for Music Hall CD-25 Owners.

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I just purchased a Music Hall CD-25 and I plan on using it for a Transport with a Benchmark Dac.
Now the CD-25 is HDCD as well, but will the HDCD still work if I am using it only as a transport?
I have a few CDs that are HDCD and would hope to take advantage of this.
