DAC for Pioneer DV-525

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I am modding my DV-525 for transport duty only. I would appreciate suggestions for a nice matching external DAC. There seem to be endless possibilities for around $500 new or used. My goals are maximum detail, separation, and 3D soundstage. My amplifier is a 30 wpc solid state integrated.
