CD Player advice

Hello,

I currently have a Denon CDRW-1500 as my cd player and recorder. As I'm into vintage vinyl, I want to keep a cd recorder on hand (one that will fit in the stereo rack). However, I want the sound of the Denon to change--with a warmer midrange and more definition (without 'over-muddiness'--some clarity, that is).

What would you 'experts' recommend. I'm thinking about just getting a tube DAC from The Pacific Valve Company (imported from China) and re-tubing it with Groove Tubes.

Any suggestions?

Marty
