inexpensive DVD player that doesn't insert pauses

I need an inexpensive DVD player that will have occasional service as a CD transport (Squeezebox is my main transport at the moment). Seems that a lot of DVD players now insert a 1 second pause between tracks when they play CDs. Can be irritating. Does anyone know which current model <$150 DVD players DO NOT do this?
