Any help would be greatly appreciated...The CD Tray no longer opens and closes with a smooth movement - it jerks and judders during both opening and closing.
Does anyone know how best to "lubricate" this mechanism without doing any damage elsewhere:
a) What lubricant to use
b) Where to apply it
c) In what quantities (I would assume as little as is needed?)I have assumed, thus far, that the jerky motion is due to a lack of lubrication - am I correct in this assumption? Or could there be another reason for this that I am not aware of?
The unit still plays fine (touch wood!)...
