You don't mention your present source.
Anyway before replacing it I would try some different ICs and power cord with your player.
Some cable as Cardas 300B could tame some digtal harshness.
Personally I tried a Cardas Neutral Reference (unfortunately too expensive for me).
It made my cheap source (an old Rotel rcd-970bx) sounding extremely pleasant, almost analogue.
Also some power cords, acting as mains' noise filter, have a evident and extremely positive effect.Good luck !
