It is a crime to own a perfectly good PS Audio Ultra Link II with the HDCD chip, the whole 9 yards, and have one single part go out, a part no one in the United States can find, expect for Parasound, and they won't let their parts go! Ultra Analog went out of business several years ago and left many companies stranded, as their parts were used in several different brand DACs, including my PS Audio Ultra Link II. The specific part is a nice epoxy coated part, made where no one would know what was in it! It was an Ultra Analog AES 21 Digital Interface also called a Digital Input Receiver.
I just had to place this post to see if there are some very savvy people out there that could say, who cares if you can't find an Ultra Analog AES 21 Digital Input Receiver, I can design one that will work BETTER than the Ultra Analog piece, put it in your Ultra Link II and solve this problem, is there such a person out there, do they exist??
