Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Re: Need some battery info for Monica 2 DAC

Though overkill for some, the best batteries for hi-end audio are high amp-hour/low-impedance models like the Enersys Odyssey PC2150 (100 AH; 2 milliohm impedance) and the Optima Yellow Top (55AH; 3 milliohm impedance). You can hear the fast transient response of these batteries, regardless of the light load of a DAC. Both are deep-cycle models, so you can draw them down to 10.5V or so without internal damage. To prolong battery life, use a small 1-1.5A three-stage charger like the Ibex frame charger or the Intellitender.

If you can't justify big, expensive batteries, try a smaller Odyssey battery with internal resistance in the 10 milliohm range.
