Re: CD players compared. What to do with Marantz SA11?

70 hours is not even close to being fully burned in. I've purchased several new CD players over the last 5 years. Each one took atleast 500 hours to fully break in and become relaxing to listen to. My advice is to put it on repeat 24/7 for about 3 weeks straight. In the mean time, listen to your other CD player. After 3 weeks, listen to the Marantz, I'll bet it sounds much better. You have nothing to lose by doing this. Make sure to give it a full 500 hours playing time. It has to play music for the entire time. If you still don't like it after doing this, sell it. Atleast by doing this, you will have given the Marantz its best shot. Until you do so, you haven't heard it at its best.
