Any step by step mods for he Ah Dac?

Regarding failures that occur...... is the general consenus that they are put together badly, or that they use poor (failure prone) parts?

To bypass the output stage one taps into r35 &r36 and use a 2.2uF cap as referenced in the archives, does anyone have a close up pic of what this looks like - it helps me to see it before I start digging into my equipment.

OTOH are there better DAC's out for the price?
