The Head-Fi site is THE place for headphone info (and I have many posts there). I personally have not tried the Lavry's headphone outputs (since I have an amazing dedicated headphone amp), but I've read that some people believe it has a high-quality headphone output (higher than most, if not all, DACs).The DAC1's headphone output, which I used before I got my headphone amp, is adequate. A high-end dedicated headphone amp (particularly a balanced headphone amp) will be significantly better. Isn't that always the case with this hobby...there is always something better out there, somewhere? :-)
