What is pleasing to the ear and what is truthful
aren't the same thing. A digital amp connected
digitally to a CD drive will bring you the
brutal clarity and edginess of the RBCD format.
It is quite likely you will not like it, because
RBCD resolution is too low to be warm. Analog
equipment helps soften the edges, or a smart
upsampler.
