Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I am going deaf, BUT

My experience is that almost all 24/192kHz DACs sound very very similar. This is not exactly what you found out. But i think these digital filters leave such a large footprint (squash!) on the original signal that they nearly cancel out variations from other factors, such as the transport. You can put me in a room with an Arcam CD-192T and a Meridian 588 and I can't hear much of a difference, let alone a $10,000 difference!

Don't get me wrong, I own a CD-192T (and some others) and on certain music i love the digital flavour of these DACs.
