I can only apply my recent experiences with the 303/300 and those experiences would tell me to recommend the tube stage machine.The SS side of the 303/300 is merely adequate. With the stock tubes the tube side of the 303/300 is merely adequate as well.
With the right tubes and interconnects the 303/300 becomes a very special machine. I upgraded to some NOS Mullard cv4003 and the improvement was magical. Much better soundstage, tonality and dynamics. I haven't solved the interconnect problem yet but I am feeling something very revealing (Nordost) may be the answer.
